Biathalon Gold Medalist - Magdalena Neuner

I'm going to put her picture on my daughters' bedroom wall. I need a large poster so they can see how cool it is for girls to be markswomen.

I found her website, but it is all German (only). I think this page says I can send her a letter and request an autographed photo. Am I right?

Beautiful blue-eyed German girl....Looks easier than it is, from wiki regarding target sizes:

"The biathlete carries the small bore rifle, which weighs at least 3.5 kilograms (7.7 lb), including ammunition in magazines on her/his back during the race. The rifles use .22 LR ammunition and are bolt action or Fortner (straight-pull bolt) action.

The target range shooting distance is 50 metres (160 ft). There are five circular targets to be hit in each shooting round. When shooting in the prone position the target diameter is 45 millimetres (1.8 in), when shooting in the standing position the target diameter is 115 millimetres (4.5 in). On all modern biathlon ranges, the targets are self-indicating, in that they flip from black to white when hit, giving the biathlete as well as the spectators instant visual feedback for each shot fired.

We have 100s of acres available to us here in Wisconsin. It should be easy for us to set up a biathlon training course. I'll need to get my family set up with cross-country skis.

Now to get a few Izhmash Biathlon rifles for the girls.

For now the kids will have to use their Savage Cubs and cross-country skis from "Play-it-Again" or garage sales. Maybe when they are teens they will have proven they are ready for the real thing. I don't mind investing money in my girls and their guns.

Good for her. She's learned about business and how to make deals. Preparing to be a professional athlete is no cheap journey.

The MSM would like us to believe that the Olympics are about sport and competition.

It's all about the money, been that way for decades.. She may not be getting paid directly, but she's a professional already. They all are.

You have to have major bucks (OR Sponsors) to compete at Olympic and World Class levels

Another thread that didn't go the way I had hoped. Ms. Neuner is a gold medalist in the olympic biathlon. I was only pointing out that she would make a good role model for my daughters. However, I'm not sure I want guys like you looking at them in ways like that.
